What is an elective prenatal ultrasound?

Elective prenatal ultrasounds are performed for bonding and keepsake purposes rather than medical diagnosis. They let families see their baby, hear the heartbeat and build connection in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

No. A referral is not required. However, we do ask that all clients are receiving prenatal care from a healthcare provider before scheduling an appointment.

How long will my appointment last?

Appointment length varies depending on the experience you choose. Most visits range from 10 to 30 minutes.

Pregnancy & Imaging

When is the best time for a 3D or 4D ultrasound?

While every pregnancy is unique, many families enjoy the clearest facial images between 28 and 32 weeks. We’ll help you choose the experience that’s best for your stage of pregnancy.

Can I find out my baby’s gender?

Yes! Gender determination is available beginning at 15 weeks during eligible experiences.

What if my baby isn’t cooperating?

Sometimes babies prefer to nap! If needed, we’ll recommend simple techniques to encourage movement and do everything we can to capture the best possible images.

Will I hear my baby’s heartbeat?

Yes! Heart rate is included with each experience, and heartbeat recordings are available with select keepsakes.

Family & Guests

Can my family come with me?

Absolutely! We encourage you to share these special moments with your partner, the baby’s siblings, grandparents and other loved ones whenever possible.

Can young children attend?

Yes. Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. We want this to be a family experience everyone can enjoy.
