“Think About It”
Every day, young people face decisions that can have lasting consequences.
The Charles County State’s Attorney’s Office created the “Think About It” (TAI) presentation program to encourage youth to make thoughtful, responsible decisions and better understand how certain choices may impact their future.
The program focuses on:

Accountability
Peer pressure awareness
Personal responsibility
Long-term consequences of risky behavior

Drive Sober Initiative
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), impaired driving continues to be one of the leading causes of traffic-related deaths in the United States.
The Charles County State’s Attorney’s Office remains committed to reducing impaired driving through:
Education
Prevention
Community awareness
Public safety initiatives
The office’s “Drive Sober” initiative encourages safe and responsible decisions behind the wheel, particularly during holidays and high-risk travel periods.
As part of the initiative, the office distributes:
Rideshare gift cards
Nonalcoholic drink vouchers
Keychain breathalyzers
These efforts help encourage safer transportation choices and support the office’s ongoing commitment to public safety throughout Charles County.
